Hi Bdale.
I use geda-gaf several times a week. Because of recent progress in
geda-gaf I do not feel inclined to switch to lepton-eda. So I hereby
express my intend to adopt the package and act as a maintainer.
However, this is the first time I touch Debian maintenance. I would
happily accept pointers where to start. Am reading the "Debian New
Maintainers' Guide" right now. Is there any other place to look at?
The best starting place for geda-gaf is using git-buildpackage on
https://salsa.debian.org/electronics-team/geda-gaf
Version 1.10.0 was already packaged but was never uploaded.
Additionally to importing the current version 1.10.2 you would have to
drop some patches that are now upstream: install-data.diff,
str-fmt-sec.diff, fix-t0402-config-test.diff and guile-2.2.diff (guile
2.2 support is in 1.10.1+).
There is a debian/libgeda46.symbols file that probably needs updating,
too. Symbols files are used in Debian to keep track of a package's ABI.
Be aware that there is ~ 1 month left for you to get the package into
Debian bullseye. So maybe an Electronics Team member wants to chime in.
It is the last package that depends on guile-2.0.
