Sorry, I do not fully understand your question. main.cpp surely was a
regular file. At least, stat(1) reports the following.

After reboot my laptop, parent PID and temporary directory are
different. Anyway, the original issue remains even if I copy the
main.cpp file to /tmp inside chroot and host procfs is not involved.
