There are some forks here and there on github with patches. - The rox-filer is the main component of Rox Desktop which is not distributed in Debian, so it could nice adding more components and a whole package set for the environment. - Rox-filer is still in use in Puppy Linux AFAIK, which could be a nice source of ideas and information.
