it happened to me and find the reason now.. but i upgraded from debian 6 to 7 and later to 8 then to 10..
well this is a bug that already has solution and is important! as i pointed i upgrade to debian 10; and in debian 6 works perfectly .. and in this particular bug 971385 reporter saids that debian 9 works.. (that's the reason of Debian 10 sh**t many other packages already have problems) Markus you mail me that "help providing patch" but later i said "read the mails" .. and you said "i cannot be". . also it points that trying to recompile the package it does not integrate to default cos the COMPLICATED sys-v init crips and also the changes not property documented in the changelog respect the upstream..
