Well, I'm not sure about what in xserver-common you are exactly
depending on. But since x11-common replaces xserver-common, I don't
think they are much different. You should just make sure you are
following the new directory structure. For vncserver a simple rebuild
should probably do, for vnc4server you most likely have to replace
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules by /usr/lib/xorg/modules or something like that.

However, I'm not exactly sure about that: neither did I really follow
the migration process nor am I familiar with the new directory structure
they intend. I just experienced my unability to process the package
upgrades without removing vncserver and vnc4server :)
