Dear Pavel, the described problem of exporting to Postscript is gone.
I can successfully export my LYX file to the Postscript format. The problem, that seminar based slides are only exported to portrait mode persist. Try to export a seminar based slide to landscape page format, and it will always end up in portrait mode. Thank you very much for your answer.
