Package: tuned-gtk Followup-For: Bug #900858 X-Debbugs-Cc: witold.bary...@gmail.com
Hi, technically the original bug is fixed, but the 2.10 version in Debian doesn't work Python 3.8+. These got fixed in this commit for some time: https://github.com/redhat-performance/tuned/commit/d46834808c3226b3a6e48649df65befc399c21cd#diff-b7a853e6e2e6f67d60c295aae7adb183c15740965b5597ec3f2fcedc93c9779b After applying this locally, I got tuned-gui working for me. I would suggest packaging 2.14.0 tho. For some time upstream now use Python 3 by default, so that is good too as it implies it is constantly tested with Python 3, instead of previously mostly with Python 2. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/32 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages tuned-gtk depends on: ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.24.24-1 ii powertop 2.11-1 ii python3 3.9.0-4 ii python3-gi 3.38.0-1+b2 ii tuned 2.10.0-1 tuned-gtk recommends no packages. tuned-gtk suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
