Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-3-686 Version: 2.6.8-16sa I found a couple of (unexpected) difference between kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686 and kernel-image-2.6.8-3-686, not sure if these constitute bugs but thought they were worth documenting. The machines in question are IBM ThinkPad T23s, R has BIOS version 1.16, C has BIOS version 1.10 but are otherwise identical (as far as I can see) both are running Debian Sarge and behave identically with kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686. However on upgrading to kernel-image-2.6.8-3-686 they both have different issues.
R : Hangs on boot with the following lines: ACPI: SubSystem revision 20040326 ACPI: IRQ9 SCI: Edge set to Level Trigger booting with acpi=off removes this problem. This does not occur on C. C: Fails to auto load psmouse and mousedev when booting. When the modules are manually inserted they work fine. Both machine using -2- load these modules automatically and R loads then automatically with -3-. Not sure if these are bugs as such, perhaps the new kernel is just a bit more sensitive to BIOS differences but thought I should report them anyway.
