Without it knights cannot load any thame.

Package kdebase depends on kdebase-kio-plugins, so every KDE installation
has also the latter package.
I was wondering if there are situations where one has knights installed but
not KDE. Is this your case?

OK. I understand now.

Indeed my case is that I do not have installed kdebase (because KDE is not my windows manager, I use only selected KDE-programs).

kdebase is quite huge package, and I suppose many people decide not to install it, like me.

Knights does not depend on kdebase.
Anyhow I think it would be better not to make it depend on kdebase, but make it depend only on required libraries. Just for users like me, who do not install full KDE.
