Package: libmms-dev Version: 0.2-2 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 3.5
The public headers for libmms in libmms-dev include "bswap.h", which includes "glib.h". This is a needless dependency, because nothing in the *headers* actually uses any of the macros from bswap, nor do they use anything from glib.h. I realize that in *building* libmms, it uses some macros from glib, but since those macros are not needed or referenced by any users of libmms, this needs to be fixed. Alternately, libmms-dev could have a real package dependency on the correct glib development package, but since libmms itself doesn't link to glib, this would be very silly. =) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages libmms-dev depends on: ii libmms0 0.2-2 MMS stream protocol library libmms-dev recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
