Package: lintian Version: 2.102.0 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I run lintian on lbdb package, which results in following two wrong
lintian warnings:
X: lbdb: bin-sbin-mismatch usr/bin/lbdb-fetchaddr bin/lbdb_dotlock ->
usr/bin/lbdb_dotlock
X: lbdb: bin-sbin-mismatch usr/lib/lbdb/lbdb-munge bin/lbdb_dotlock ->
usr/bin/lbdb_dotlock
These two warnings are incorrect, in two ways:
- they have nothing to do with sbin, as you can see in the output above
- I use variables in these scripts, which isn't noticed by lintian
In lbdb-fetchaddr the code (generated by autoconf) is:
prefix=/usr
exec_prefix=${prefix}
dotlock=${exec_prefix}/bin/lbdb_dotlock
lintian seems to think that this is /bin/lbdb_dotlock, but as you can
see, /usr/bin/lbdb_dotlock is called.
Same in in lbdb-munge:
prefix=/usr
exec_prefix=${prefix}
dotlock=${exec_prefix}/bin/lbdb_dotlock
