Since the backtrace doesn't involve the NVIDIA driver, either it's
coincidence or memory corruption.
How reliably did this crash happen when you were using the NVIDIA driver?
If you restart GNOME Shell repeatedly (perhaps log in to GNOME and log
back out, 10 times) using the open-source Nouveau driver, does it seem
reliable?
