The "strange reason" is https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=972618 fwiw, looking at https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=apt would show the successful builds as being only 8 hours old, and that each was tried twice. Regards, Adam
