Any possibility the whole /etc/xdg/autostart/hplip-systray.desktop file could be dropped from future versions if it does not work at all?
The "No system tray detected on this system." error dialog every user gets when logging in in default GNOME desktop is very annoying. Please fix this issue that is already over 10 years old.
