I agree. On the other hand, transition freeze will be mid January or so, so the available time is not a lot. The two things requiring a lot of time when packaging a new Boost release are writing the debian/copyright file (for which I have some automated scripts, but that require some manual work anyway) and filing patches for the reverse dependencies that break.
