Package: spamassassin Version: 3.1.0a-2 Severity: important
I run a farm of about 10 spamd systems that until recently shared a mysql server for the baysian and whitelist databases. I recently went around my network doing apt-get update/upgrade. When I was done, my spamd network stopped processing spam in a timely fashion. So far, my workaround has been to turn off mysql. Unfortunantly, that means we're all getting more spam. Most of my systems track sid and a couple track sarge. The mysql system tracks sid. Mysql got upgraded from 4.x to 5.x when I did the apt-get update/upgrade on that system. I don't know if this performance problem comes from changes to spamassassin or changes to mysql. I wish I knew more so that I could make a more useful report. I'm hoping someone else has run into this problem and maybe knows a bit more. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.27 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages spamassassin depends on: ii libdigest-sha1-perl 2.10-1 NIST SHA-1 message digest algorith ii libhtml-parser-perl 3.51-1 A collection of modules that parse ii libnet-dns-perl 0.57-1 Perform DNS queries from a Perl sc ii libsocket6-perl 0.19-1 Perl extensions for IPv6 ii perl 5.8.8-3 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages spamassassin recommends: ii libmail-spf-query-perl 1:1.999.1-1 query SPF (Sender Policy Framework ii perl [libmime-base64-perl] 5.8.8-3 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii spamc 3.1.0a-2 Client for SpamAssassin spam filte -- debconf information: spamassassin/upgrade/2.40: spamassassin/upgrade/2.40w: spamassassin/upgrade/cancel: Continue spamassassin/upgrade/2.42m: No spamassassin/upgrade/2.42u: No -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
