Can you please confirm that the problems you describe in bug 290226
are still present in the Debian kernels currently in the archive?
As ACPI is under constant development, there is a chance that newer kernel
will behave better with your hardware. As this bug is quite old, I
currently plan to close it in two weeks from now (April 26, 2006), unless
you are still experiencing problems with current kernels.
