  The problem here is that the first thing you need to do in a typical
dosbox session is change to the C drive by typing "C:".  Without a shift
key, it's rather difficult to type this, and thus to do anything at all
in dosbox.

  I asked Google about "dosbox" and "shift", and got:

  According to a post there, the current dosbox CVS version has some
extra settings that can work around this problem.

  It might be possible to hack around this with the current dosbox, but
IMO we shouldn't be shipping something that doesn't work by default.
