Package: lintian Version: 2.95.0~bpo10+1 I found a package whose upstream sources ship both gengetopt input, and gengetopt output. See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=971441
I think it might be worth looking for this in lintian. Conditions would seem to be: * package appears to make use of gengetopt (best guess is that source has file called .ggo ?) * no build-dependency on gengetopt I'm not sure if there is a canonical way to tell whether the build actually uses gengetopt. Ideally there would be a test somewhere that the build fails if it is not installed but that seems like it isn't something lintian could do.
