Package: xcursor-themes Version: 1.0.1-2 Severity: normal Hi,
In 6.9 I used cursors from gtk2-engines-industrial (automagically). After switching to Xorg 7.0 from experimental this stopped working and I selected the cursor theme with one of [1] ln -s /usr/share/icons/whiteglass /usr/share/icons/default ln -s /usr/share/icons/whiteglass ~/.icons/default This worked with Xorg 7.0 from experimental but many programs break with Xorg 7.0 from unstable, xterm gives informative message: $ xterm X Error of failed request: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) Major opcode of failed request: 152 (XFIXES) Minor opcode of failed request: 23 (XFixesSetCursorName) Serial number of failed request: 27 Current serial number in output stream: 28 Emacs and Gtk2 programs most notably GDM fail to start with a more cryptic messages. The problem disappears after removing the `default' link, but the curious thing is that it have worked before Xorg from experimental.
