This patch applies to the version in unstable (no one bothered to
touch the '6') but it brings no functional change. I am happy to
forward it upstream. Unfortunately, I am not sure they will respond.

This change, which fixes your bug,  was cherry-picked from upstream
some time ago. [1] It is already available in stable (4.1-1).

The source prompting your change was totally rewritten. Do you feel
like taking another look?

Other than that, would you be okay if I close this bug after accepting
the first patch (using string constants instead of '6')? Thanks!
