Package: lxterminal X-Debbugs-Cc: wbertr...@gmail.com Version: 0.3.2-1+b1 Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer, Applications on Wayland should set their app_id to the same name as their .desktop file. LXTerminal relies on GTK's default behavior, which is to set the app_id to the prgname, which would be the executable name by default. When invoking LXTerminal through a symlink, such as x-terminal-emulator, this results in the app_id being set to the name of that symlink, i.e. x-terminal-emulator. This behavior breaks various things, such as compositors not being able to find its icon. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.8.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages lxterminal depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.36.0-2 ii libc6 2.31-3 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.16.0-4 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.0+dfsg-5 ii libglib2.0-0 2.64.4-1 ii libgnutls30 3.6.15-1 hi libgtk-3-0 3.24.20-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.1-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.46.1-1 ii libpcre2-8-0 10.34-7 hi libvte-2.91-0 0.58.3-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-2 lxterminal recommends no packages. lxterminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
