Package: nvidia-modprobe Version: 450.66-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Environment: Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile / Max-Q 4K OLED Debian Sid Issue: My screen does not light up while sddm is loaded and running. This was always working fine before. The issue was introduced with recent upgrade. It seems that nvidia-drm is no longer loaded. Unfortunately X does not come up on my notebook screen without having the nvidia-drm loaded. X works on external monitor without nvidia-drm. Workaround: switch to console modprobe nvdia-drm modeset=Y systemctl restart sddm sddm setting: xrandr --setprovideroutputsource modesetting NVIDIA-0 xrandr --auto xrandr --dpi 144 Observation: /etc/nvidia-modprobe.conf unloads the nvidia-drm Thanks, Jiri -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.7.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages nvidia-modprobe depends on: ii libc6 2.31-3 nvidia-modprobe recommends no packages. nvidia-modprobe suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
