The Avra package is currently at version 1.3.0. Although avra has been stagnant for many years, a few years ago they have moved from SourceForge to GitHub and released new versions, and are now at 1.4.2. The version currently shipping with Debian is missing the CPU definitions for the ATtiny85, and several others.
