Package: gnome-applets Version: 2.12.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #318804 i completely concur with the previous bug reporter's assessment. the per-window keyboard layout behavior is totally counter-intuitive. i also use the dvorak layout, and every now and then need to switch to qwerty for other users. they expect everything to be qwerty, and i expect everything to be dvorak. this is one case where following the microsoft precident is very bad. i propose that the keyboard indicator applet apply to the entire desktop, and i believe that all users that deal with multiple keyboard layouts would agree.
