You updates the Vendor Prefixes only on new releases: https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=nmap For example on Debian Stretch the Vendor Prefixes stuck in year 2016. In this case all newer products can't resolve. A fast solution is following: wget https://svn.nmap.org/nmap/nmap-mac-prefixes -O /usr/share/nmap/nmap-mac-prefixes Apt upgrade would be more nice.
