Yeah, the upstream source was imported from OpenBSD in a whole batch.

Thanks for tracking this down upstream. I’ll have a look at it and
will consider merging it; it mixes multiple changes in one patch so
I will need to have more than a casual look first. (Or, you can push
for OpenBSD to commit it, then ping me.)
