Actually it is an issue for buster, or, rather, for buster-backports. I'm currently backporting current qemu to buster, due to popular demand, and faced this very issue, - qemu does not build on buster because of missing fdt_check_full() in the dynamic library. And with that I don't really know what to do - backporting a much more recent fdt to buster just to fix this bug (which is still not fixed in -testing, btw) seems to be overkill, but do we have some other way to fix this simple issue for buster?
