the root of this issue isn't Thunderbird. But it seems the version of libnss3 in testing isn't new enough. But also the checking for the required NSS version while building.
All NSS versions below 3.54 doesn't support the current and required setup for http2.
Please try to install libnss3 from unstable and check if the problem is still existing.
