I believe your problem should be different from the one at https://bugs.debian.org/940732 . Besides, I cannot reproduce your problem on my local Sid machine. My suggestion is to purge everything about pulseeffects and lsp-plugins first and make a clean reinstallation. Please try with the following commands: sudo apt update sudo apt purge '*pulseeffects*' '*lsp-plugin*' sudo apt autoremove --purge sudo apt install pulseeffects --install-recommends (After that, reboot your system once.) Now please check whether running /usr/bin/pulseeffects will raise errors or not. If the problem persists, please submit a *new* bug report instead of replying this one. Thanks, Boyuan Yang
