Package: libnjb0
Version: 1.2-2
Followup-For: Bug #295944

I provided an incorrect local solution in my previous bug report. Here
is a more complete/correct description of what I did:
    0. apt-get install libnjb0 libusb-dev
    1. download up-to-date libnjb source
    2. ./configure
    3. change Makefile: HOTPLUGENABLE=yes
    4. make filemodes
    5. sudo make hotplug
    6. replace /etc/hotplug/usb/nomadjukebox

Sorry if the first list was confusing.

As I said before, this isn't ideal because it lets any member of the
audio group update the Nomad. However, I could figure out how to
reliably determine which one user is logged in physically at the
console. Fedora Core apparently uses /var/run/console.lock for this
purpose, but no such file is present on my Debian system.
