Hi Christian, Thanks for the bug report.
ccache works for me for C++ files (I use it all the time) so I need more information than "it doesn't work" to have any chance of doing anything. For example what you do to draw the conclusion that ccache doesn't cache C++ files anymore. Here is some general information on how to debug caching problems: https://ccache.dev/manual/3.7.10.html#_cache_debugging Regards, Joel On Sat, 18 Jul 2020 at 17:09, Christian Marillat <maril...@debian.org> wrote: > > Package: ccache > Version: 3.7.10-1 > Severity: normal > > Dear Maintainer, > > Since recently (maybe 2 or 3 weeks) ccache doesn't cache c++ files. > > I see the same for all my architectures amd64, i386, armel, armhf, arm64 and > powerpc > > Christian > > -- System Information: > Debian Release: bullseye/sid > APT prefers buildd-unstable > APT policy: (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (500, 'unstable') > Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) > Foreign Architectures: i386 > > Kernel: Linux 5.7.9 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) > Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE > Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not > set > Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash > Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) > > Versions of packages ccache depends on: > ii libc6 2.31-1 > ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-2 > > ccache recommends no packages. > > Versions of packages ccache suggests: > pn distcc | icecc <none> > > -- no debconf information >
