Package: watchdog Version: 5.2.4-5 Severity: normal
Hi, I test (with the option -q) the Watchdog package on a Web server, it is connected to the network by an Ethernet interface (eth0). I use the option : interface = eth0 I have two consoles open on the server with SSH : - one with a "tail -f /var/log/syslog", - the other with a top command. A few seconds after the start of the watchdog daemon, I have these error messages : Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: starting daemon (5.2): Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: int=10s realtime=yes sync=no soft=no mla=24 mem=1 Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: ping: 213.223.240.201 Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: ping: 127.0.0.1 Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: file: /var/log/messages:1407 Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: pidfile: /var/run/syslogd.pid Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: interface: eth0 Apr 10 16:23:01 hastur watchdog[24353]: test=none(0) repair=none alive=none heartbeat=none temp= none [EMAIL PROTECTED] no_act=yes Apr 10 16:23:16 hastur watchdog[24353]: device eth0 did not receive anything since last check Apr 10 16:24:01 hastur last message repeated 3 times Apr 10 16:25:01 hastur last message repeated 4 times Apr 10 16:25:16 hastur watchdog[24353]: device eth0 did not receive anything since last check Apr 10 16:26:01 hastur last message repeated 3 times Apr 10 16:27:01 hastur last message repeated 4 times Apr 10 16:28:01 hastur last message repeated 4 times Apr 10 16:29:01 hastur last message repeated 4 times Apr 10 16:29:31 hastur last message repeated 2 times It is strange, I am connected on the server with two active SSH ?!!
