Neither of the North American mirrors seems to be updated, nor does yours. Is this mirror staleness characteristic of Blackdown?
Assuming the mirrors were up-to-date, we could simply add the appropriate mirror to our /etc/apt/sources.list and be able to install it. If they are indefinitely delayed, then I would certainly view adding PowerPC Blackdown support to java-package as an important wishlist item, since we have no other viable alternative other than working on IBM JDK support to give us a fully-developed JDK/JRE.
