I have updated the Debian readme, see https://salsa.debian.org/debian/geeqie/-/blob/6d2981da5cc18ff008c1fab161d1b5ab188ac2c3/debian/README.Debian - removing the mentioning of gqview (the information seems a bit outdated), and adding info about GDK_CORE_DEVICE_EVENTS instead.
