I wouldn't have expected active debugging asserts (i.e. a build without NDEBUG) in a release package. That's the reason why I created this general bug report.
I'm affected by this crash: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/2418 I also had further crashes but I don't know if asserts caused them and I don't know if the program would have run correctly without the asserts. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce these crashes reliably.
