Hello, The built-in viewer (not editor) is a simple text file viewer intended for various log files, though it could be used to view .csv or .dat plot file contents also.
It only displays file contents, and is not intended for files whith a specific structure and/or binary files surch as the MED, CGNS, or EnSight files used for visualization with tools such as ParaView. The GUI should report that binary files are not supported rather than crash upon read, so there is a minor bug, which we will fix, but this feature is not intended for this type of file in any case.
