Ah, I forgot to mention that you can always use Alt+/ to complete with every file in the path, which will suggest *any* file, not just those ending in '.tar*'. Anyhow, I thought that that might help you a little before we can get this fixed (if we ever make it into upstream bash-completion). Cheers, Gabriel
