Hello You say "It is expected to use UCX as the transport layer under openmpi and mpich". It is actually optional, OpenMPI works fine without UCX on non-Mellanox networks. Worse, UCX says it supports some networks such as OPA while its actual performance is very bad, people have to uninstall UCX in such cases, or reduce its component priority. Do you plan to make a hard dependency from OMPI to UCX?
