Do a "good enough" procedure, because it is best for Debian if you do not burn out due to symbols. My 2 cents: Stop shipping symbol files. Their troubles outweight by far the benefits* and they make (C++) stuff incredible fragile. Even with the kde symbol helpers it is still a mess. I've been burnt by them countless times… You never know whether a subsequent upload, binNMU or toolchain change will break your build again. * I'd rather hack on other bugs than on doing constantly symbol file massages… Just my 2 cents, of course… YMMV… > -Olek
