I have to ask: *why* are you trying to force the ESP to be /boot rather than /boot/efi, the default for Debian setups? At the very least, you will see problems using a FAT filesystem for a location where dpkg tries to install things - it expects to use filesystem semantics that FAT cannot provide. -- Steve McIntyre, Cambridge, UK. st...@einval.com "Managing a volunteer open source project is a lot like herding kittens, except the kittens randomly appear and disappear because they have day jobs." -- Matt Mackall
