I was just looking at this exact change last night, thanks for the commit. It wasn't clear to me that python3 could be expected to be installed on a minimal unstable OS, since the python wiki page lists, "Debian Unstable contains some 2.x and 3.x, python2 is being removed".

Works for me to include in unstable, since the python2 removal is on the way, but may result in a little fallout until removal is completed.
