No, that is not a very good idea. Both pygame-sdl2 and renpy are part of the same project. If I uploaded pygame-sdl2 7.3.3-1 to unstable, I would make renpy unusable in unstable and Ubuntu, because I doubt they will notice it in time. Upstream is working on completing the Python 3 port already and there is a good chance that the work will be completed before the next freeze.
