Package: devscripts Version: 2.20.3 Severity: wishlist It is recommended to manipulate changelog files with dch where possible to avoid scripts and regexps in utilities that go out of date. To fix bug #961873 it is necessary to remove the 2nd copy of a version stanza, but I see that dch does not provide a --delete option, which leaves seddery or other things that will probably break one day.
I realise it's an uncommon case, but it seems to me that dch is the right place for this functionality. If you agree that this is functionality worth having I could try and knock up a patch. -- Wookey
