Hi, upstream here, thanks for the patch. this patch looks fine to me, although I have NOT tested it. We just released 0.9.46 on May 25, but mhatta hasn't pulled it into Debian yet, so this would be a good time for him to do so and take this patch with it. I'll try to migrate upstream to use the 2.x API for our 0.9.47 release, target August-September, so the patch would only be needed for 0.9.46.
