Hi, > [Lintian] Currently ... exits with "1" if policy violations ... are detected.
This behavior will soon be reversed. Lintian will exit with status 1 on program errors (thus enabling the use of 'die') and with status 2 on policy violations. > It would be nice if lintian had an option to exit with a status != 0 > only if there are internal errors. You will soon have some control via the upcoming '--fail-on' command-line option. More information may be available here: https://salsa.debian.org/lintian/lintian/-/merge_requests/311 Please also look out for a more widely disseminated announcement of these changes, probably on debian-devel.
