The packaged version is affected by a bug that causes podman exec to disconnect from stdin randomly. This makes it unusable for workflows that rely on exec like the Visual Studio Code Remote Containers plugin. This was reported upstream as https://github.com/containers/libpod/issues/5046 and fixed upstream by in https://github.com/containers/conmon/pull/131 released in 2.0.14. Please, update to a version including the fix.
