At the moment the asterisk_* plugins are not used by one of us. Thus we do not want to move the (working) asterisk plugins from contrib to core. We recently (munin v2.0.60) removed the really outdated asterisk_* plugins from core, since they did not work for ~8 years. Thus at the moment the best approach for using the asterisk plugin is probably to install them via "munin-get". This is probably not a satisfying solution, but it is the best we can offer.
