Package: libnetty-java Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
The netty-all.jar package currently differs from upstream in that it does not contain any class files. I understand that there is a Maven-based dependency system that attempts to pull in classes from the other jar files, but this does not work reliably. Specifically, when using the Bazel Build system, the dependencies are not pulled in and builds fail. I submit that users expect the package to work in Debian the way it works upstream [1] and having it work differently, without even a README.Debian, is confusing for most users (who don't think to look at lintian overrides).
