GOption help output gets very ugly and almost unusable with long help messages. GOption output: - --invoice-vendor Shorthand to relate an event or expense to a contact, by vendor. Requires -t. - --invoice-city Shorthand to relate an event or expense to a contact, by city. Requires -t. Compare with the equivalent popt output: - --invoice-vendor Shorthand to relate an event or expense to a contact, by vendor. Requires -t. - --invoice-city Shorthand to relate an event or expense to a contact, by city. Requires -t. GOption also breaks help messages mid-word which just makes things ugly: - --debug Print debugging information to a temporary fi le. I was hoping to replace popt with GOption but I'll have to live with the popt dependency until GOption produces content that is at least as pleasant for users as popt. If --help output is difficult to read, it defeats the purpose of --help. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.25-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages libglib2.0-0 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an Versions of packages libglib2.0-0 recommends: ii libglib2.0-data 2.10.1-2 Common files for GLib library - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFENUGHiAEJSii8s+MRAgB/AJ9mlnfZ4tP90sOalkLhIUZ78Iu68QCeNvmB PjiSr+aukHv7vJEDjMNGw9A= =VJwf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
